COCAINE

http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_6870.aspx

This is an article about a controversial energy drink. The drink contains 280 mg of caffeine; that is three times the amount found in Red Bull. However, the issue most people have with this drink is its name: Cocaine. The letters that spell Cocaine on the side of the can look like a line of the drug. The drink is being aimed toward younger teenagers and college students.

I feel that this drink should be banned. Many convenience stores have already taken this step, however the drink is still available online. The drinks name is subconsciously desensitizing the youth to terms that have a negative influence on their lives. What are producers going to come up with next, a candy bar called Ecstasy?! The amount of caffeine is also very unhealthy. I drank a Red Bull before practice last summer, and in the middle of working out I had to stop because my heart was beating insanely fast and out of rhythm. I can only imagine what a drink that has as much caffeine as Cocaine would do to the heart of an out of shape person!

What is your opinion on the drinks name and the amount of caffeine it contains? Would you be willing to drink one?
